Retro Games

If you we’re born somewhere from the 80’s or before, you might be one of those who played gaga over these different retro games as we call it now. I, for one, love dozens of these games… not to forget the simplest and famous Super Mario!

But what is retro game? Why is it still being talked about until this present time? As Wikipedia defines it, “Retrogaming, also known as classic gaming and old school gaming, is the playing or collecting of older personal computer, console and arcade video games in contemporary times. Usually retrogaming is based upon systems that are obsolete or discontinued.” Hmmm… Obsolete or discontinued. Yes, it’s obsolete but discontinued? Uh-uh. Some defined it as an “8 bit pixellated graphics, chiptunes, simple platformer game mechanics, and charmingly traditional scoring and levelling”. Okay, that fits it. But for us, it is as simple as retro games are the best games ever! Here’s why.

·         First and foremost, it wouldn’t have come this far it wasn’t the best.

·         Secondly, do we hear people around the globe collecting them? Yes, thousands are!

·         Do we still see them today being played? Have gone to game arcades? Malls? Absolutely. They’re even on movies! “Pixel” is one.

·         Lastly, you know when it’s popular when people copy them. Actually, it’s really not literally copied but being improved as generations to generations. We wouldn’t be surprised if these retro games still lives 30 years from now!

So basically, playing retro games can be nostalgic and very enjoyable as of this present time!
